Bubba (that tall guy next to me in picture is my nephew… and yes he is from Texas) flew in the same day but he was here on a mission — to get his graduation pictures taken by Peter. He was here just 2 days and 2 hours so it was a whirlwind! In 2 days, we saw Haleakala, had lunch at Kula Lodge, went to the Iao Valley, and went to the Maui Aquarium. We didn’t make it out snorkeling because the early morning hours were spent shooting. And of course, Peter shot some great pics of Bubba. All my favorites were after he had a MaiTai! But there was one that I call the “male model” shot that could be put in GQ!
Most of the pictures were taken by Mom who after being coached by Peter is turning into a good photographer. Here is the photo of Haleakala crater; I touched it up just a bit to bring out the color. It was really cool to see the clouds coming in.
Not every day was action packed! Mom and Dad enjoyed reading on the lanai and enjoying our tropical breezes. Actually the breezes were VERY STRONG for a few days. Here is the sleeping trio… Widgit and mom argued quite a bit but by the last day of their visit, Widgit had “trained” them. It is always great to see family and friends. It was a great week.
