Sometimes you are just amazed by things that happen… is it the true energy of the world or unique coincidence? You decide.
Yesterday, I was working in my garden and listening to my podcasts. One of the podcasts I enjoy is Kelly Howell’s Theater of the Mind. She usually has a guest that talks about energy and healing; I don’t always believe everything but I do believe that we don’t really know the true power of our mind and the capabilities of the energy around us. This episode, she had Carol Tuttle talking about Powerful Energy Techniques (listen here). Carol had great stories and seemed well grounded in what she said. Toward the end of the podcast, I loved when she encouraged people to “ask your angels”. She said too many people get hung up with the use of the word prayer and limit themselves when they think of a higher being. So she says we all have angels and we can ask them anything. Don’t make a big deal out of it. Just ask! Start with things you’d like but that don’t have a big significance in your life.
So I thought “Angels, help me find my wedding ring”. I “lost” my ring many months ago, well before Christmas. I always had the sense that I would find it but had looked everywhere. Peter had wanted to get new rings for Christmas and I said “You know as soon as we do that, I’ll find it”. So we didn’t buy new ones. I’ve been wearing my engagement ring more which is nice but doesn’t really fit with my rough, do anything lifestyle!
So this morning as I was putting on a pair of shorts, I noticed something. These are old shorts with stains but I probably wear them at least once a week because they fit well and are very comfortable. I’ve washed them a dozen or more times in the last 6 months! Recently I even did a special treatment to them to try to get stains out.
Today, I noticed the tiny pocket in the front… and there was my ring. My angel made me notice. And in celebration of almost 20 years, Peter took this beautiful photo.
