It took 3 weeks but Peter finally convinced me to stop working and go diving. We rented tanks and took a 10 minute drive to a site called 5 Graves. I don’t think the name has anything to do with the difficulty of the dive! You walk by 5 Graves (mini cemetery) on the way to the beach.
The entrance was rocky and tricky. Not difficult but a “slow one step at a time” entrance and exit to avoid slipping on a rock and falling on your butt! The diving was easy and nice. We were greeted by a big green sea turtle just as we entered and saw 2 others during the dive. Peter had told me things that he really wanted. The one thing I did find him was a Zebra moray but it was sound asleep and you couldn’t see it’s head. He didn’t have the heart to wake him up to get pictures. But the visibility was very good (70-100) and my first Maui dive was nice. Ok, it’s not Solomons or even Kona but it was fun. This would be a good snorkel spot for people that don’t mind a slightly challenging entrance and it is calm.
- I’ll finish the baseboards upstairs today. I just have the caulking to finish.
I started getting really good working my miter saw so I expect the downstairs to go quickly.
- I installed my bedroom closet organizer yesterday. It nearly doubles the useable space. Peter said “That’s cool – when you installing mine?”
- Still lots of painting to do.
I’m still waiting for a good picture but Widgit loves the tropical breezes. She sits with her nose in the air and her fur all flying.
